Which aims to help parents and carers understand how their child's additional needs can be helped within school in Lancashire.
The course is informal and relaxed and does not have any homework or assignments. Parents are encouraged bring their own experience to the course and learn from each other as well as the tutor.

Parent Partnership Service run a free, 6 week course called “Making Sense of Special Needs”
Would you like to talk to another parent who understands what you are going through and can offer emotional and practical support?
Face 2 Face schemes operate across Lancashire. Any parent of a disabled child may use their local scheme, even if their child hasn't been diagnosed.
Scope also deliver a 12 week Face to Face training session, if you would like to become a befriender to an other family of a child with disabilities.

For parents and carers of children who have a learning disability or who are on the autistic spectrum.
The session has been developed by the Learning Disability / Complex Needs service and mirrors the approaches used in individual sessions and in the other groups provided by the service. The session can provide an introduction to approaches or a top up for parents who have attended Cygnet or Riding the Rapids.
